“I refuse to view people as their diagnoses. In fact, I believe pathologies are better seen as dysfunctional behaviors, that were once helpful, and need to be identified as part of one's personal growth. Simply creating a diagnosis doesn't help you live a better life. Sometimes “symptoms” are inner yearning and desire for change. The relationships I create with my clients are built on empathy, compassion, and accountability. I challenge my clients and help them explore how they can create a life worth living based on values, meaning, and purpose. The skillset I have that sets me apart is my ability to ask the right questions to stimulate a deeper reflection of one’s own life”.

He is skilled in Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Regardless of intervention used, his approach to therapy is ultimately based on a psychodynamic, culturally sensitive and mindfulness driven framework.

He is a proud Raleigh native and alumni of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his graduate degree in social work at the University of Southern California.
